One of the best beaches in Racine is the North Beach. The beach is Wisconsin’s first Certified Blue Wave beach with certification from the National Clean Beaches Council. The beach has been named in the Top 5 Best Freshwater Beach by USA Today and has been recognized in several other national publications.
This gorgeous beach is features 50 acres of beatiful sand and water and is only a couple of blocks from Downtown Racine. North Beach hosts vents from EVP Professional Beach Volleyball, triathlons and more.
Enjoy some of the amazing architecture created by Wisconsin native Frank Lloyd Wright here in Racine. One of his most famous works is the SC Johnson headquarters campus located in Howe Street in Racine. It was the largest commercial project designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and was completed in 1939. The Great Workroom is a half-acre of floor space and the ceiling is supported by large golf-tree shaped columns that have been called one of the most advanced structural supports in modern architecture.
Frank Lloyd Wright also designed the Hardy House in Racine which is the Johnson Foundation’s Wingspread Conference Center.

For even more shopping in Racine, West Racine which is the center of the area’s Danish heritage, has two Kringle bakeries and several specialty shops. Douglas Avenues has many places to eat and local retailers.
